Next Generation 911 (NG911) and Address Standard


This document shall serve as the primary reference document for Next Generation 911 (NG911) Geographic Information System (GIS) Components and Address Standard in the State of Oklahoma regarding GIS based addressing. The standard set forth is to be maintained, utilized, and distributed under the authority of the Oklahoma 9-1-1 Management Authority, the Oklahoma Geographic Information Council, and the Oklahoma Office of Geographic Information. This standard is mandatory for NG911 purposes in the State of Oklahoma. The following guidelines should be incorporated into all addressing applications, both geospatial and tabular, to ensure interdisciplinary compatibility.
